Carrie Lynn Cameron

It is with incredible sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother Carrie Lynn Cameron(61) on March 15, 2025. Born in Plymouth England, the daughter of Brian and Janet Tindell. To have known Carrie, and to read the words that follow, will be utterly insufficient to who she was as a person. She was an absolute force of a woman, who was truly larger than life and whose loss will be felt, not only by her family and closest friends, but by every individual that had the privilege of knowing her. She will be forever remembered for her energetic, upbeat, infectious spirit and for her extreme love of quilting, baking and her family. She was the glue that kept everyone together, making sure everyone was fed, comfortable and happy. She leaves behind her loving high-school sweetheart of 48 years Darrell. Their life together was filled with so many memories living coast to coast from military postings, sharing 2 wonderful children and lots of laughter, love, happiness and a little sass. Some people have been lucky enough to try many of her amazing delectable yummy goodies and to receive one of her handmade quilts, wall hangings, table runners, bowl cozies and beautiful bags. So much care and attention and blood sweat and tears into each and every stitch. Hold onto those treasures with pride and utmost care. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren taking them for weeks at a time teaching them how to bake and sew, cuddling up reading books and watching movies. They brought her so much happiness. Carrie was part of the Paradise Village Quilters for years and made many wonderful friendships. She had her own group of “sanity sisters” that met every week, all a part of the Apple Valley Quilters. She was looking forward to their upcoming retreat. The ladies had many sales, raffles and helped down at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition where all their beautiful prize winning handicrafts were on display. Carrie is survived by her husband Darrell, sister Penny, brother Brian, daughter Michelle, son Cullen, grandchildren Hailey, Keegan and Catelynn, niece Alyssa, nephews Dustin, Dean, Billy and 4 great nieces and nephews Isla, Marcella, Emerson and Jackson. She will be extremely sadly missed. Cremation is taking place and a family service will be held at a later date.
