In Loving Memory of Diana Marie Kemp February 1, 2025 - Age 89 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Diana Marie Kemp, who peacefully left us on February 1st, at the age of 89, following a brief stay at the VG Hospital. Diana was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was predeceased by her late husband, Roy Maxwell Kemp, and is survived by her loving children: Karen (Doug) Moxam, Christopher (Janet) Kemp, Michael (Lissa) Kemp, and Pamela (Trevor) Feltmate. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Ashley, Samantha, Michelle, Stephanie, Mitchell, and Travis, as well as her great-grandchildren: Westin, Tyson, Alex, J'von, Carter, Ethan and Declan, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Diana’s warmth, wisdom, and kindness touched the lives of many. She was a woman who radiated love and compassion to all. After raising her children, Diana worked at Classic Shoes in the Delta Barrington Place Shops alongside the owner Janny De Jong who she shared a special bond with and considered a great friend where she retired at the age of 74. She was passionate about her family, and her favorite place in the world was the cottage on Caribou Island in Pictou County, built by her late husband 56 years ago. There, she spent countless summers enjoying the stunning view of the ocean, playing card games, and sharing laughs over drinks with family and her friends that became family, particularly Helen and Bob Stroud & Wayne and Peggy Young. She fondly reminisced, saying, “Oh, if those walls could talk.” Diana enjoyed strolling the beach collecting driftwood, and clam digging in her favorite attire. She also spent time on the water in a canoe, accompanied by Peggy, solving all problems of the world with champagne in hand. She enjoyed gardening, where she had a green thumb and nurtured her plants with care. She was also a very avid reader, always with a good book in hand. Though no formal funeral will be held in accordance with her wishes, Diana’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends. A family gathering will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate her life.
