IN MEMORY OF FRANK ROY DAVIS It is with profound sadness that the family of Frank Roy Davis announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, June 19 following a short illness. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Paul Trueman Davis and Laura Mildred Cann Davis, his brother, William and his nephew, Paul Davis. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lynch Davis, his daughters, Christina (Dr. Sekou) Molette, Nova Scotia and Nashville and Elizabeth (Andrew) Stepaniak, Bedford, his grandchildren, Alex Stepaniak, Bedford, Langston and Aria Molette, Nova Scotia and Nashville. He is also survived by his brother, James P (Sharon) Davis, Bridgewater and sister, Elizabeth (Michael) Davis Murray, Falmouth. Frank is survived by 11 nieces and 5 nephews, all of whom he loved. Following in his father’s footsteps, Frank enjoyed a successful career in real estate development. He was well regarded and respected by his peers for his wisdom and integrity. Frank was a man of many talents. His lifelong passion for flying saw him log thousands of hours in multiple aircraft types, including his own Cessna 150. He also had a love for sailing and became an avid sailor in his retirement. Barbara infused Frank with her love of travel, during which they embraced many new friends during their extensive trips together. Many of those friends visited them in Nova Scotia and developed lifelong friendships. Frank had a wonderful sense of humour, never at the expense of someone else, but always with himself at the centre. He was quick to laugh, especially if the joke was on him. He never lost his love of hilarious pranks and practical jokes. Aside from being funny, he was also incredibly kind and fiercely loyal. Many of his friends and family will always remember the twinkle in his eye and his zest for life. He will be missed by so many, among them, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in- law, Tom (Patti), Peter (Pam), Kathy (Michael) and Michael (Faye) Lynch. Frank’s remains have been cremated and will be interred at the family plot in Bridgewater. No service will take place. The family is planning a Celebration of Life in the fall.
