In Loving Memory of Gerald "Jerry" Vincent Howell Jr. Gerald Vincent Howell Jr., 57, known affectionately as Jerry, passed peacefully from this world on July 2nd, 2023, surrounded by his family. It is with heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a remarkable individual who touched the lives of so many with his kindness, wisdom, and infectious laughter. Jerry was survived by his partner Michele Hamilton, his mother and father, Gerald and Hilda Howell, and by his brothers; Allan and Tanya Howell with their children Autumn and Lori. Bill Howell with his children William and Angus, and Ron Howell with his children Amanda, Anthony, and Angelina. As well as many cherished and loved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jerry was born on the 6th of January, in 1966 in Halifax, where he spent his formative years surrounded by a loving family. From a young age, it was evident that Jerry possessed a zest for life and an insatiable curiosity. He pursued knowledge and education with great passion, spending years in the Army Reserves, and the remainder being a security specialist in the commissionaires. While Jerry's professional accomplishments were impressive, it was his character and compassion that truly defined him. He possessed an innate ability to make everyone around him feel valued and loved. His warm smile and genuine interest in others' lives made him a cherished friend, confidant, and mentor. He was the first born, the first protector and everyone's hero, and he never led any of his brothers astray (unless it was a joke of course). Jerry was always ready with a listening ear, offering sage advice and unwavering support to those in need. He was considered the best uncle, and an even better lego builder. Beyond his professional pursuits, Jerry had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He found solace in nature, often embarking on hiking adventures or capturing breathtaking landscapes with his camera or drones. His love for travel took him to many adventures with the love of his life, his “squeeze heart” Michele. Jerry's legacy will forever be etched in the memories of all who knew him. He leaves behind a lasting imprint on the hearts of family, friends, colleagues, and anyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Although his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us in our own lives. In honoring Jerry's memory, let us remember his infectious laughter, his unwavering optimism, and his unwavering belief in the potential of every human being. Let us cherish the time we had with him and strive to live our lives with the same grace, compassion, and boundless curiosity that he exemplified. Jerry, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May your soul find eternal peace and may your memory be a blessing to all. Rest in peace, dear friend.
