Roger Fulton Sellars August 19, 1950 – August 14, 2026 Roger Fulton Sellars passed away peacefully at Dartmouth General Hospital on August 14, 2026, with his beloved wife, Patricia, by his side. Roger was predeceased by his parents, Fulton Sellars and Helen (née Jewers) Sellars. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia. He is also survived by his daughter Kimberly MacMullin, and her children, Micala and Colton, and great-granddaughter Aurora. He is also survived by his sisters, Cheryl Sellars and her partner Bob, and Michelle and her partner Roddy; and his brother Randall Sellars and his wife Sharon. Roger will also be sadly missed by his stepchildren, Tim Sampson and his partner Amanda, and their children Bree and Ryder; his children Christian and Danielle; his stepdaughter April Millett and her husband John, and their children Patricia Lahey and Jacob Millett; and his stepson Jessie Sampson and Helen, and their daughter Carley-Ann. He will also be remembered by his adopted son by heart, Alex Corbett, as well as his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Roger will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Roger Fulton Sellars was a man who could do just about anything he put his big hands to. By trade, Roger was a marine electrician, but that was only one small part of who he was. He was truly a jack of all trades and, more importantly, a man who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Roger had a gift for making things. In his workshop, those big hands could turn pieces of wood into working boats, tractors, snow plows and even 18-wheelers. His remote-control boats and schooners were made with incredible attention to detail, right down to the smallest working parts. If it had wheels or floated, there was a good chance Roger would love it—or figure out how to build it. He loved his horses and took great pride in raising his turkeys and hens. He was a devoted member of his church, loved to sing, and was always ready to help his community. In the winter, Roger could be found snow plowing for anyone who needed a hand, and in the summer, he kept busy mowing trails and making sure they were ready for others to enjoy. One of Roger’s greatest joys was being out on his boat, the Patricia Rose. He loved nothing more than heading out on the water and sometimes spending the night anchored in the harbour near McNabs Island in Eastern Passage. He also loved heading “down East” with the boys Roddy and Brian to work on his beloved bunkie, always finding another project to tackle.always had time to visit Pat Watt and check out his tractor collection. He made it a point to visit Gord and Molly our neighborhood watch. Roger also enjoyed his trips to Hubbard to visit their friends Ronny and Debbie. For 25 years, Roger sold Christmas trees and happily took on the role of Santa Claus. It was a perfect fit for a man who loved Christmas, loved people, and loved making others smile. Roger was a man of strong opinions and was rarely short of an answer—whether the answer was right or wrong. He could be stubborn, and he was known to stand firmly by his position. Of course, Patricia knew exactly how to handle that. Roger knew he had finally lost the argument when Patricia ended with, “Yeah, okay, you’re right.” At that point, there was really nothing left to say. Roger loved his wife Patricia, his family, his church, his animals, the water, and anything with wheels. He was a man who worked with his hands, helped with his heart, and left a little piece of himself everywhere he went. He will be deeply missed—not only for all the things he could do, but for the kind of man he was: generous, hardworking, stubborn, talented, funny, and always willing to help.
