Vincent H Wentzell

WENTZELL, Vincent H. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Vincent H. Wentzell, age 83, of Halifax, NS. Vincent passed away peacefully at the QEII after hospitalization on June 27th, 2022, with his wife Beverley at his side. Born August 21st, 1938, in Milton, Queens Co., NS, he was the son of the late Clayton H. Wentzell, mother was Jean Helen MacNutt, and his grandfather, Vernon Andrew MacNutt. Survived by his loving wife, Beverley Anne, of 59 years on June 14th, 1963; daughter, Kelly Anne Jacques, her husband, Sean Jacque; Jeffrey (53 with Downs at home); Mark Andrew Wentzell, wife, Cristin Wentzell, (Egypt); 2 grand-sons, Tyler Jacques and Alexander Wentzell (his mum Michelle); 2 great-grand-daughters, Carlie (5) and Molly (3) Wentzell (Halifax). Vincent has 2 sisters, Shirley Wentzell (Bridgewater) and Edith (Ted) White (Lwr. Sackville); 2 brothers, Terry (Shirley) Wentzell (Calgary), and Wayne Wentzell (Halifax). Vince’s proudest career accomplishment was working to the “Top”-30 years with Halifax Chrysler Dodge, Thompson family, and with Rob Steele Dealership. Vince’s awards were Chrysler’s achievemnts with several “awards”/offices. A special friend always checked on Vincent-Avery Harvey so faithful with calling. Vince’s favourite colour was Red-always sent roses for our Anniversary, knowing that I love carnations. He loved the Red Sox for years, John Wayne movies, and puzzles on the computer. His strong passion was his years being a stamp collector. He always wanted to be a carpenter. Vince loved music-“The Girl from Yesterday”, “Grow Old Along With Me”, and “Touched by an Angel”. Vincent was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star with his wife, and a member of Royal Sussex Lodge No. 6. Beverley would like to thank Dr. Rodd Leighton and staff of ICU, palliative care unit. Beverley offers the deepest appreciation to her friends, my O.E.S. Friends, Daughters of the Nile, and such love shown to Jeffrey and myself from our neighbors within our building. A Service will be July 16th at 2pm, at St. James Anglican Church at the Armdale/Joseph Howe Drive; Masks required, NO repass.
