February 16, 1961 - January 6, 2022

Roche, Patricia (Feb 16 1961-Jan 6 2022) It is with the heaviest of hearts that we sadly announce the passing of our loving and beloved mother, Nanny Pat, sister, aunt and friend, Patricia Roche age 60, a deeply spiritual person with stunning red hair. Pat loved her daughters dearly and raised them on her own to be strong compassionate beautiful and loving women. They took the most loving and tender care of Pat throughout her short illness. We all believed there would be more time with Pat and are heart-broken. Pat was raised in a large family by her parents, Ernie and Pauline, in NDG Montreal, with a loving extended family that had roots in Quebec and Cape Breton. Pat was predeceased by her parents and her sister Gail. Left to mourn her loss are devoted daughters Jessica (David) of Halifax, Natasha (Mike) of Halifax, her granddaughter and grandson, the lights of Pat’s life, Kinsella (Tutu) and Deleo (Bubba), her brother Dan (Monica) Vancouver, sisters Jacquie (Christina) of Wolfville and Mary (Walter) of Oakville Ontario, along with nieces Emily and Bailey, and nephew Alex. Pat loved yoga, the outdoors, and the ocean, delighting in hikes, beach walks and swims with her family and friends all around the province. Pat made it a point to spend quality time with her daughters on frequent get-aways. They shared a deep and loving bond that brought them all a sense of belonging and connection through many challenges. Pat worked for years as a medical office administrator. As her most recent employer, Dr. Sava, said of Pat, “there was no one better.” Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date. We thank the staff at the Victoria General Hospital, especially nurse Terryn and the Oncology Team. Donations in Pat’s memory may be made to your local women’s shelter, a service near to Pat’s heart. “Let us not look for you only in memory, Where we would grow lonely without you. You would want us to find you in presence, Beside us when beauty brightens, When kindness glows And music echoes eternal tones.”
