Lee Kingsley Meisner

It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Lee Kingsley Meisner announce his untimely passing. Lee slipped away quietly in the early hours of the 20th of February 2025 after a brief but very devastating illness. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Tracey of nearly 41 years. Lee leaves behind his sons Matthew (of Brookside) and Samuel (Jennifer) of Halifax. He is survived by sisters Edna (Roger) of Blandford and Eileen (Michel) of Riverview, New Brunswick. Lee was a devoted and loving father to his sons, supporting them fully every step of the way. To many, he is known as the WGE (World’s Greatest Electrician) who took pride in his work and treated every commercial and residential project to the best of his ability and with the best of care, both for the company and for the customer. Lee was a man with impeccable comedic sensibilities. Part of his charm and charisma was how he could make you laugh with his storytelling. Lee and his son Sam shared a beautiful relationship that revolved around music and humour. When spending time together, they were like-minded in many ways and have shared many laughs. They’ve always had a beautiful chemistry and were a very productive and happy team, whether it was on the job site or at home doing lawn care, gardening or other forms of property maintenance. Music was such an integral part of his life. He picked up the guitar at an early age and had been a part of 2 bands when he was in highschool – Highway Star and The Shadows (not to be confused with the British instrumental rock group). Over the span of 27+ years, Lee played guitar and sang with his son Sam’s accompaniment on percussion, keyboard and saxophone. They had an unbroken musical bond; a unity that lasted since the tail end of the 20th century. During weekend nights, when they weren’t playing the music, they were admiring the music of others, with the sounds coming from Lee’s record player. He was always seeking the best sound quality for the ultimate vinyl experience. With a passion for mother nature, Lee transformed the Meisner property with majestic gardens that thrived, along with a beautiful greenhouse that he had completed building within the last year. He had a connection with nature, communicating with his beloved crow visitors Chuckie and Charlotte while working in his gardens. His son Sam refers to him as ‘The Greatest Father In The World’ and is forever grateful for all of the wonderful moments they shared together. Anybody that has ever known him is lucky to have known him. If you’re in a dark place, he will lift your spirits with his sense of humour and charm. Loyal, loving, hardworking, resilient, caring, creative, comedic, musical and snazzy. These are just some of the great qualities that shaped this wonderful human being – Lee Kingsley Meisner. We miss you and we will love you forever. As Lee loved gatherings of friends and family in party style function, this will be the format for his Celebration of Life. The date, time and location for his Celebration of Life have yet to be determined but will be taking place in the spring.
