Louise Anne Sellars May 25, 1946 – April 30, 2026 It is with saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Louise Anne Sellars, age 79, on April 30, 2026, at Dartmouth General Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on May 25, 1946, Louise was predeceased by her parents Walter and Violet Lindgren (Stepmother), her husband Roy Sellars, and sisters Myrka and Charlotte. She is survived by her brother Wally; sons Martin, Jeff, James, Jason and daughter Shareen; nieces Brenda and Wanda; nephew Glenn; grandchildren Cody, Jessica and Kaelan; Great grandchildren Rowan and Meadow; and a large circle of close friends around the world who loved her dearly. Louise was born and raised in Ontario and later moved to Carbonear NL where she and her husband raised their 5 children. Ever hardworking and unafraid to try new things, she operated several home-based businesses while also working as a Laboratory administrative assistant at Carbonear General Hospital for 21 years. She will be remembered as a caring and industrious woman, a devoted wife and mother, and hospitable toward all who entered her home. Louise deeply loved Jehovah God and cherished Bible truths. With courage and zeal, she shared these truths she loved with whoever would listen. She was active as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses until her death, one month shy of 80 years old. Her strong conviction in the resurrection hope sustained her throughout her illness and brought her profound comfort. She looked forward to the promise of eternal life on a paradise earth —free from illness, pain, and death—with her family and friends. And so do we! (Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:3,4) Our family extends heartfelt thanks to the many compassionate professionals of Nova Scotia Health with whom we interacted, for their kind and compassionate care of Louise throughout her illness including but not limited to: • Dr. Mary Margret Keating, Aleiaj Papa, Victoria, and the oncology team. • The staff and nurses of Dartmouth General Hospital 5 West. • Dr. Anne Marie Krueger-Naug, Palliative consult nurse Patti MacDougall and the palliative care team. • Northwood Continuing Home Care Staff • VON • Dr. Christina Sava. We also wish to express our deep appreciation to the Sackville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for there loving support both at this time and throughout the years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held both in person and virtually via Zoom on May 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Atlantic Time.
