It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Emma Rose Fleet 95 of Halifax on January 31, 2026 Born on October 8, 1930 in Metaghan, NS She is predeceased by parents Patrick and Marie Thibodeau from Metaghan, NS, Husband Merle Fleet from Halifax NS Emma is survived by nephew Mark Thibodeau [ Halifax ] numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members from Nova Scotia, Quebec and the USA Em passed away surrounded with the people who loved and cared for her the most She was a resident of Parkstone Enhanced Care [ Halifax ] for the past 18 months. I would like to personally thank the current management and staff of this amazing facility for the exceptional care you provided on a daily basis for Em. Special mention to Brenda, Patrick and Angela as well as the entire team on Seton Way [ 3 rd floor ] If you ever wondered if Angels really do exist......simply spend a few hours of your day on the floor and quietly observe the tremendous efforts these people do every minute of their shifts. Absolutely astonishing ! Ems core values in her life were quite simple and straight forward. FAMILY was very important to her. ALWAYS stay in touch...even a simple phone call shows you care. NEVER abandon people even if there are disagreements. RESPECT those that are deserving. GIVE of yourself in anyway you can to those that need help or guidance. Her working career was vast and fulfilling. From being a medical secretary to serving 33 years with the Federal Government [ DND Halifax ] The Government of Canada was very lucky to have her. After her retirement she turned to volunteer work at Veith House [ Halifax ] as well as the Palliative Care unit of the Halifax Infirmary. Em loved being near the ocean, Peggy's Cove, Point Pleasant Park, lobster dinners, and rappie pie . She enjoyed canoeing, skiing, and many numerous outdoor activities with friends for many years. like June Coull. She had a passion for stamp collecting . She would spend hours grading and carefully placing under magnification her precious stamps to her collection. Her "stamp buddy " Kenneth Steele was always by her side. It is people like these that Emma appreciated. Decades of unjudgmental friendships is something to be cherished. Although we are all terribly saddened by Emmas passing, we must remember that Emma lived her life to the fullest....her way. Her spirit lives within each and everyone of us she touched through out her incredibly fulfilling life. In lieu of flowers , donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetic Society, Feed Nova Scotia or charity of your choice. Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Halifax. Em...It has been my absolute pleasure to be a part of your life journey for these many decades...The history we created together along with all the memories, stories, travels and secrets are in good hands. I have a very long memory....I remember them all and will hold them close to my heart forever. Deep breathes dear Em....It's now your time to be with your Angels.
